CHANEL PFW Fall Winter 2017/18
'Fashion is about the evolution of the world; to reflect that evolution.' Karl Lagerfeld.
On March 7th took place Chanel's Fall-Winter 2017/18 Fahion Show in the Grand Palais, Paris.
''The sky has inspired us'', this were Karl Lagerfeld's words; the brand's designer and creative director.
''The Milky Way, sky at night...'' Chanel knew perfectly how to reflect this idea at imitating constelations in his embroidery, the use of metallic materials, the glitered boots, its rocket-shaped handbags or on the cosmonaut prints on some of his tweed dresses.
His idea was to create a ready-to-wear cololection. It takes months and months to start everything and build that huge rocket according to Karl Lagerfeld. The collection has let us to see that modern touch to that classic style that we have always had.
''Any dress or any sweater is the same size, it's a question of milimeters'' says the designer. The clothing wasn't the thing that caught our atention the most in this fashion show, but the huge rocket placed in the center of the room that, without expecting it, took off at the end.
It was undoubtedly one of Chanel's most thoughtful fashions shows. Many known faces as Cara Delevingne, Lily Rose Depp, Pharrell Wiliams or Jada Pinkett and her daughter, and in the runway, Gigi Hadid y Kendall Jenner, attented the parade.
